Terms of service
These terms apply when you create an account or use utemply to generate, edit, export or host a website.
Prices are displayed in USD. Any applicable taxes and the payment total are shown before purchase.
1. Service and eligibility
utemply provides automated website generation, editing, export and optional managed hosting. You must be at least 18 and authorised to act for the business represented. Registration information must be accurate and credentials kept secure.
2. Plans, payment and renewal
Free previews are temporary and may expire on the date shown in the application. An export is a one-time purchase at the price shown at checkout. Managed hosting is a recurring subscription billed through PayPal until cancelled. The checkout shows the amount, billing frequency and any discount before you approve payment. You authorise PayPal to charge the chosen funding method. Discount codes may have eligibility, expiry and redemption limits.
3. Your materials and permissions
You retain ownership of information, logos, images and instructions you submit. You grant utemply and its processors a worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, copy, adapt and process them only as necessary to provide, secure and improve the service. You confirm you have all necessary rights and permissions, including permission relating to identifiable people.
4. Generated content and review
AI-generated text and images may be inaccurate, unsuitable, non-exclusive or similar to material generated for others. utemply does not guarantee originality, trade-mark availability, legal compliance, search ranking or commercial results. You are responsible for reviewing facts, claims, contact details, licences and intellectual-property issues before publishing or using an export. To the extent permitted by law, utemply assigns to you any rights it may have in the final generated website output after payment, excluding utemply software, templates, systems and third-party materials.
5. Acceptable use
You must not use utemply to violate law or third-party rights; impersonate others; distribute malware; enable fraud, harassment, discrimination or exploitation; generate unlawful sexual or violent material; bypass rate, payment or security controls; scrape or reverse engineer the service; overload infrastructure; or submit secrets and sensitive personal data unnecessary for a public business website. We may restrict or remove content and suspend access where reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance or material breach.
6. Hosting, domains and exports
Managed hosting is provided while the subscription remains active. Domain registration is not included unless expressly stated. You remain responsible for domain ownership, DNS access and renewals. We may perform maintenance and cannot promise uninterrupted availability. Exported files are supplied in the format described at purchase; operation on every third-party host, integration or future browser is not guaranteed.
7. Cancellation, refunds and deletion
Your cancellation and refund rights are described in the Refund and cancellation policy, which forms part of these terms. Cancelling managed hosting stops future renewal but does not automatically erase account data. Account deletion can be requested separately and may be subject to recovery, backup and legal-retention periods described in the Privacy policy.
8. Availability, liability and statutory rights
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your mandatory consumer rights. Subject to that, utemply is not responsible for indirect or unforeseeable losses, loss caused by your content or third-party services, or business losses where consumer law does not apply. Any aggregate cap must be reviewed and completed by legal counsel for the operator’s circumstances.
9. Changes, termination and law
We may change the service or these terms for legal, security or operational reasons. Material changes will receive reasonable notice where practicable. You may stop using the service; we may terminate for material breach, unlawful use or security risk. These terms are intended to be governed by the law of England and Wales, subject to mandatory rights in the place where a consumer lives. Courts with mandatory jurisdiction remain available.
